is life’s greatest blessing…

Meet Patrina Odette and her gorgeous kids. I was quite keyed-up over this little shoot, because Patrina is such an inspiration to me. She has supported my art and given me endless photography mentoring. She was a major influence in my decision to buy my first slr camera (can’t thank her enough for that). And lucky for me, we live in the same area, so I get to hang out with her a bunch. For this evening shoot, we caravanned to Mount Falcon Park, near Evergreen. It’s beautiful up there at 8,000 feet…majestic really. And having such stunning subjects was just the icing on the cake!

May I let you in on a little secret? Andrea and Mat are already married. They agreed to pose for an engagement session for me. I have wanted to capture the mountain charm of Idaho Springs since the first time I visited. The three of us spent the sunny day walking up and down the crowded streets, elbow to elbow with tourists, seeking shade. I love that people aren’t afraid of color in this town. Yellow church+ green vet clinic+ purple arcade= my dream come true!
